About Digital Collections

The Graduate Theses and Dissertations Collection is a place to find a record of every graduate-level thesis and dissertation published at UCF, including those works completed at FTU.  Records for both print-only, retrospectively scanned, and electronic works are included—digital copies are included where available.

Many print-only theses and dissertations still exist at the UCF Libraries; in order to make these items more accessible to users, basic information about each work is included in this collection.  It is our hope to eventually have all of these items scanned and available digitally to researchers around the world.

A Retrospective Thesis or Dissertation (RTD) is a digitized version of a thesis and dissertation previously published only in print.  The RTD project includes theses or dissertations published at UCF since the first thesis was published in 1972 through mid-2004, after which theses and dissertations were automatically digitized. If your thesis or dissertation is one of the print-only works, you can help us make it available online for use by researchers around the world by following the instructions on the distribution consent form at http://library.ucf.edu/Systems/DigitalInitiatives/DigitalCollections/InternetDistributionConsentAgreementForm.pdf  You may also contact the project coordinator, Kerri Bottorff, at kerri.bottorff@ucf.edu or 407-823-1129 for more information.

Beginning in 2004, students were required to submit their theses and dissertations electronically.
